Cati Snarr


A Salt Lake City native, Cati began her formal ballet training with Ballet West studying under Willam F. Christensen, Denise Schultz and Louis Godfrey. At the age of 15, she performed Sleeping Beauty with Ballet West at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and then continued dancing professionally with the company under Bruce Marks and John Hart CBE. Later, Cati attended BYU where she studied Ballet, performed as part of the Young Ambassadors and then continued her professional ballet career.

Cati returned to Ballet West in 2003, became the Children’s Ballet Mistress for the company (2004-2016), a teacher in the Education and Outreach program (2003-2009), Principal Faculty for the Academy (2008-2016), and is now the Principal of the Peggy Bergmann Ballet West Academy in Park City.

She is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah in the Ballet Division, a choreographer and a producer for NFL, NHL, NCAA half time entertainment.  She has helped produce many award shows, events and has received an Emmy Award for her choreography achievements for the 2002 Winter Olympic Ceremonies.  In 2016 and 2017, Cati was nominated for an Emmy in “Outstanding Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program” for Katy Perry’s and Lady Gaga’s  Halftime Performance at The Super Bowl.  She has been a choreographer on the Super Bowl Halftime shows since 2008, working with Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Madonna and Justin Timberlake.  Other notable commercial choreography includes the Lexus GS commercial “Kaleidoscope”, High School Musical 3 and Director Ang Lee’s Tri-Star Picture Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.
